Safety requirements for the use of slings
The use of slings in lifting and rigging operations is directly related to the safety of the operation. In order to ensure safe operation, what are the requirements for the use of slings.
1. Sling should have a number of points of centralized shelf storage, with dedicated management and maintenance, storage points have selected specifications and the corresponding load label (sign), the main user should be familiar with and correctly selected, scrap or unqualified sling is not allowed to pile up or use in the filed.
2.Users should be familiar with all kinds of slings and their end fittings of their own performance, use precautions, scrapping standards.
3. The selected sling should be adapted to the shape characteristics and specific requirements of the workpiece being lifted, and should never be used under the condition that it does not have the conditions for use.
4.Before operation, the sling and its accessories should be checked and confirmed to be intact before use.
5.Before hanging, should correctly choose the rigging point; before lifting, should confirm whether the bundle is firm.
6. The spreader and accessories shall not excees their rated lifting weight, and the sling shall not exceed the maximum working load under its corresponding hanging state.
7.Damage to the sling and accessories should be prevented in the operation, and corner protection should be added at the corners when necessary.
8. The finished sling must be put back to the storage point in time, not placed at will or directly on the hook of the lifting equipment.
