How to measure stainless steel chain?

The basic requirements for the performance of stainless steel conveyor chains are high strength and good wear resistance, and the delivery chain is no exception. However, compared with the transmission chain, the delivery chain has a slow speed and a large load, and the total length of the chain used and the number of links are large, so the quality of the chain is large. A chain with too much mass will greatly increase the tension received by the chain, thus increasing the consumption of invalid power.

1. In order to remove the clearance of all the chains, the chain should be measured with a certain level of pulling tension

2. When measuring, in order to reduce the error as much as possible, measure locally at 6-10 sections (link)

3. The inner L1 and outer L2 scales between the rollers that measure the number of sections to determine the discrimination scale L=(L1L2)/2

4. Find the elongation length of the chain, and this value is compared with the application limit value of the chain elongation in the previous item.

Therefore, reducing the quality of the delivery chain itself is an important issue in the design of the delivery chain. Stainless steel conveyor chain manufacturers have made considerable progress in using engineering plastics to make chains. The use of engineering plastics for the delivery chain parts only reduces their own weight, and has the advantages of reducing friction, noise and smooth without grease. At present, the strength of engineering plastics is still low, so stainless steel transmission chains can only be used to make small chain conveyors, as well as rollers on lighter chain attachments.
