Surface Treatment Process Of Lifting Chain

surface treatments are categorized as follows

  • Polishing

Mechanical polishing: The use of polishing machines and other devices on the appearance of the lifting chain to implement fine grinding, aimed at removing oxidation layer and impurities, thereby significantly improving its surface brightness and smooth texture.

Chemical polishing: Refining operations performed on the surface of the chain with the help of specific chemical reagents, with the objective  of stripping away oxidized layers and dirt, thus increasing its glossy and smooth appearance.

Electrolytic polishing: The surface of industrial chains is beautified using electrochemical polishing facilities to eliminate oxidized coverings and stains, significantly improving the surface finish and smoothness.

Hand polishing: The surface of the lifting chain is carefully polished by manually operated tools, with the aim of removing the oxidized surface layer and pollutants, and effectively improving the beauty and smoothness of the surface.

  • Blacking

Blackening is also known as boiling black, treatment methods include traditional alkaline high temperature blackening, after-temperature blackening and normal temperature blackening. The use of liquid and the material of the workpiece itself to react to generate a coating, oxidation treatment after the film thickness of 0.5~1.5 microns, the size of the parts and precision has no significant impact, but this layer of film will play a protective effect on the lifting chain. Through the application of metal surface blackening process, it can produce dense oxidized film on the surface of metal products, and through this oxidized film, it can well isolate the metal substrate and the outside air.

  • Galvanized

Galvanization is divided into hot-dip galvanization and electro-galvanization.

Hot-dip galvanizing means that the chain is immersed in hot galvanizing liquid, and a zinc-iron alloy coating is formed on the surface of the chain under high temperature, and the thickness of the coating is generally above 45μm;

The thickness of the film is generally more than 45μm. Electroplating is to place the chain in electrolyte containing zinc ions and form a pure zinc film on the surface of the chain by using electric current, and the thickness of the film is generally about 10μm. Hot-dip galvanizing has higher anti-corrosion performance than electro-galvanizing, but hot-dip galvanizing will leave some large zinc droplets.

  • Electrophoresis

Electrophoresis process refers to the process that the charged resin particles (ions) in the solution move under the action of electric field and deposit on the metal surface to form a layer of protective coating. The surface of lifting chain treated by electrophoresis is glossy and beautiful.

  • Dacromet

Dacromet process, as a very new technology in the field of surface treatment, the coating has good corrosion resistance (compared with zinc plating 7 to 10 times higher), excellent high-temperature resistance (can be up to 250 ℃ stable operation), to avoid hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon, excellent aging resistance, and the combination of the substrate is strong, environmentally friendly and non-polluting and so on multiple advantages.
